Biography

Gu Jianying, Chief Physician of Plastic Surgery, Second-Class Professor, and Doctoral Supervisor; Party Secretary of Zhongshan Hospital, Fudan University; Honorary President of Fudan Zhongshan Xiamen Hospital.

Currently, she serves as a Member of the Plastic Surgery Branch of the Chinese Medical Association; Vice President of the Aesthetic and Plastic Surgery Branch of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association; Vice Chair of the Plastic Surgery Branch of the Shanghai Medical Association; Vice Chair of the Plastic Surgery Branch of the Shanghai Medical Doctor Association; Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the 7th and 8th Editorial Boards of the Chinese Journal of Plastic Surgery; Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Annals of Plastic Surgery; and Editorial Board Member of the Chinese Journal of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (English), etc.

Areas of Expertise: Precision treatment and whole-course management of melanoma; resection and reconstructive repair of skin and soft tissue tumors; facial aesthetics and minimally invasive cosmetic procedures; laser cosmetic treatment; breast plastic surgery; body contouring and shaping; etc. She has carried out innovative research on early diagnosis of melanoma, mechanisms of recurrence and metastasis, immune tolerance, and cell therapy. She has conducted projects including quality control and management system development across the full process of precision medicine; application of medical big data and artificial intelligence in smart hospital construction; and construction of a 5G-integrated medical alliance imaging collaborative innovation platform. She has led 6 projects, including major R&D projects of the Ministry of Science and Technology, General Programs of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and major new infrastructure projects of the National Development and Reform Commission; 5 projects of the Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission, Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, Shanghai Municipal Health Commission, and Shanghai Shenkang Hospital Development Center; and holds 12 patents. She has published more than 140 articles, including more than 40 SCI-indexed papers; served as chief editor of 1 book and contributing editor of 10 books.
